MIDI Drum Triggers

Musicians searching for professional MIDI drum triggers may be interested in a new piece of hardware which is being created by Josh Fifelski based in Detroit and aptly named the DremTrigger.

The MIDI drum triggers have been specifically created to enable musicians to add depth to their acoustic drums. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the new drum triggers which have taken to Kickstarter to raise the required $35,000 needed to go into manufacture.

Pledges start from $349 for early bird backers with shipping expected to take place during December 2017. Features of the MIDI drum triggers include a large 4 GB internal memory, 8-hour battery life, stand-alone and contactless design.

It took nearly three years to arrive where we’re at today and have overcome a list of challenges that appeared when seeking to combine our technologies to make DrēmTrigger advanced, simple, yet robust. We believe we are in the final stages of the development and will be buttoning up mechanical adjustments over the next couple weeks and then put our focus solely on the software so that we can have a timely ship date.

There’s a lot packed into this little guy, so there are some give and take situations we find ourselves in and as we turn the corner to the finish, we will have solidified exactly what features we can use now, vs what we will have to continue developing for later. Know that everything stated above, has already been proven achievable.

Our tests so far have proven that DrēmTrigger can take a punch; but we won’t stop there. Included in our testing procedures will be EMC, impact, stress and a plethora of other tests to ensure that our device is set to last years. The goal is to have a unit that is strong enough for drummers to hit but simple enough for anyone play. Our warranty will cover basic internal damage, but this will be expanded upon as we finish the testing procedures.
