Amazon Fire 7 is a cheap tablet designed for customers who are on a budget. With the Amazon Fire 7 Tablet, you can read a book, do online shopping, and watch videos. It was announced on the 16th of May, 2019, and was released on the 6th of June, 2019.
The price of the Amazon Fire 7 (2019) starts at £50 which is the same as the last model, but the Amazon Fire 7 Tablet is faster and has more storage. In terms of storage, if you want the 32GB storage instead of 16GB, it’ll cost you extra cash. In this Amazon Fire 7 tablet review and buying guide, you will discover all you need to know about this affordable tablet, including the designs, the Pros and Cons, and much more…
The Amazon Fire 7 Tablet is robust with a thick rubber build which is great as it will take a lot more than falling from the dinning table to break it. There are bezels surrounding the screen which make it a lot more comfortable to hold in one hand without actually tapping the screen.
Amazon Fire 7 Tablet comes with a micro USB port located at the top of the tablet, a 7inch IPS LCD screen on the front, a microSD card slot beneath the retractable flap on the right, volume buttons, power button, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The volume buttons are located at the top of the tablet along with the micro USB port, power button and the headphone port.
The Screen on the Amazon Fire 7 Tablet is simply poor but it is a cheap tablet so it is to be expected. It has a 7inch IPS LCD display with 1024 x 600pixel resolution at 171 ppi density. The screen is bright enough to be used indoors but you would have issues seeing clearly when it faces direct sunlight.
The text displayed on the screen comes out clear but videos are entirely different. There is a reduction in the quality of the images and colors appear washed out. The ads or special offers that pop up on the lock screen might get annoying though.
The Amazon Fire 7 Tablet runs on a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. It comes with Amazon’s hand-free virtual assistant-Alexa and a single speaker located on the left side of the tablet.
The Amazon Fire 7 Tablet has 2MP camera for both front and back. A 2MP camera isn’t great but it’s better than nothing especially if the tab is used by a kid. It functions the same as a standard mobile phone camera where you can switch easily between the front and back camera. The front facing camera can also be used for video calls although you might appear a little blurry to people on the other end of the line.
The Amazon Fire 7 Tablet is equipped with a 2980mAh non removable battery. It is tested to last an average of 7hours per charge and it consumes a reasonable amount of battery while sitting idle. But if all the battery consuming apps are uninstalled, you should get 9hours of use.

The Amazon Fire 7 Tablet is a cheap laptop best used for reading, shopping and watching YouTube videos. The display isn’t of great quality so it isn’t advisable that you stream Netflix on it but it’ll work just fine for YouTube videos. Also, it comes with a lot of Amazon ads and you would need to pay to drop them.
Yes. Amazon Fire 7 is a cheap entry level tablet that comes with Amazon’s virtual assistant (Alexa) which lets you navigate through your tab hands-free using just your voice.
The Amazon Fire 7 Tablet is a good tablet with good performance for the price. It would serve as a good option for persons looking for a tablet to read indoors, shop, or watch YouTube videos. Overall, the Amazon Fire 7 tablet is of good value, but the Amazon Fire HD 8 is a better option with a little more money.
