The back is curved, and the finish is a bit conservative, which makes it quite sleek and elegant to look at. It is also very durable.

It has an impressive 50 MP quad camera of excellent quality, and the shots are clear and impressive. The contents look great, as the phone has great contrast and provides accurate colours. The battery is great and long-lasting and also has a fast charging speed. 

The Huawei P40 Pro has a good waterproof build and a high refresh rate OLED screen with an awesome chipset.

However, the Huawei P40 Pro does not support Google services. So you do not get things like Google Maps, Google Assistant, or Google Play Store. It replaced Google services with Huawei Produced services. For example, as opposed to Google Assistant, you would get Huawei’s Celia. Huawei’s proprietary app gallery replaced  Google Play Store.

If you want a phone of great quality and excellent performance, paired with a flawless camera, and you can live without Google Services, then the  Huawei P40 Pro is worth considering.

Shots taken from the main camera come out in 12.5 MP as 4MP are combined into one. During the day, the camera is great and is also impressive at night too. The selfie camera has autofocus, so all pictures taken in this mode come out consistent and very sharp. Photos taken in 5x Zoom are also of good quality.

The design of the  Huawei P40 Pro is sleek and elegant, with the body made from glass with an aluminium frame, and the finish is a bit conservative.  It comes in five beautiful colours: deep sea blue, Blush gold, Silver frost,  Ice white and Black.

With respect to the display, the screen is a 6.6-inch curved OLED with a resolution between full HD and Q HD at 1200 x 20 640 pixels. The display of the  Huawei P40 Pro supports HDR plus.

The  Huawei P40 Pro is full  IP68 rated, making it water and dust-resistant. The full screen comes with a super hydrophobic nanolayer which distracts water from the screen. 

Huawei’s P4 Pro EMUI 10.1 is based on Android 10.

The charging speed of the  Huawei P40 Pro is quite impressive; it comes with a 40-watt charger and also supports 27-watt fast wireless charging. What is distinct about the battery of this phone is that it supports reverse wireless charging through which the phone can charge another device.

Unlocking the  Huawei P40 Pro is done through an optical under-display fingerprint, and it is among the fastest and most reliable you can get right now on the market. There is also a face unlock option which is quite secure because of the 3D scan provided by the TOF Camera that most phones do not currently have. It even works in the dark.

Unlike most mobile phones, the  Huawei P40 Pro has a single-bottom loudspeaker. It does not have a traditional earpiece.

The  Huawei P40 Pro has software limitations, as it does not support Google services like other devices. You would have to use Huawei’s services.

The  Huawei P40 Pro is a very good mobile phone that can perform various activities, ranging from everyday internet browsing to gaming and also streaming videos. It has excellent performance because of its fast processor and faster 5G connectivity. It uses a super hydrophobic layer that distracts water from the screen, making it one of the best waterproof devices on the market. The camera has impeccable performance during night and day.

If you can live without Google Services, the  Huawei P40 Pro is worth recommending.
